KU Hospitalists

The KU Wichita Hospitalist Team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care at hospitals throughout Wichita. We provide comprehensive inpatient care for patients admitted to Ascension Via Christi St. Francis or Wesley Medical Center. Our board-certified physicians practice evidence-based, cutting-edge medicine to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients requiring hospital care.

In addition to patient care, our faculty play a vital role in training the next generation of physicians in Kansas. Through hands-on, bedside teaching, we provide medical students and resident physicians with expert instruction in clinical skills. This education and experience help develop future hospitalists who will become leaders in health care, serving our patients and their families for generations to come.

Care for our patients doesn’t end at the hospital. Our nurse-led Transitional Care Management Team partners with patients at discharge to ensure a safe and seamless transition from inpatient to outpatient care. The team supports KU Wichita patients during this critical time by coordinating care, scheduling follow-up appointments, and connecting them with essential resources. We are grateful for the opportunity to help guide our patients through this important stage of their recovery.
