The University of Kansas School of Medicine–Wichita Medical Practice Association (MPA) is a long‑standing, respected medical group that has supported medical education, research, and patient care since it’s founding in 1973. As the clinical arm of the University of Kansas School of Medicine–Wichita, we provide patient care through faculty physicians and operate as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. While we work closely with the University of Kansas School of Medicine–Wichita to support and achieve shared goals, the MPA remains its own nonprofit medical group with the flexibility to grow, innovate, and respond to the needs of our community.

The MPA employs more than 150 dedicated staff across four clinic locations. Our providers, nurses, medical assistants, clinical support teams, billing staff, and administrative professionals collaborate closely with faculty to deliver high‑quality patient care through a shared commitment to excellence. In 2025, the MPA provided over 75,000 outpatient visits, highlighting the meaningful work and impact we have in Wichita’s healthcare system. Together, our four clinical departments (Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, and Family & Community Medicine) rank as the fourth largest healthcare provider in the city.
